Part of the Jamieson's Heritage Walk and with trails abounding "The Island" is the perfect spot for a picnic or for a beautiful walk and there is an off leash dog area.
It is the place where the Jamieson River meets the Goulburn River, technically known as the “confluence” of rivers. Fruit trees planted in the 1860's by Dr Nash still remain.
With discovery in all seasons, chill out riverside. Grab the lilo and take a plunge into clear streams and rivers also perfect for spotting local wildlife - turtles, platypus to name a few. Skim stones, pack the magnifying glasses and fossick for hidden treasures - exploring every nook or listen for the sounds of the kookaburras - the kids will be delighted to become little birdwatchers.
Jamieson's fascinating history has been recorded with three walks - Heritage Walk, Significant Trees Walk and Cemetery Walk. Off leash area for dogs.
